This winter oolong was some extra Mr. Ye made for himself while making a batch of competition tea. The portion of the batch he took to enter in the Meishan Tea Competition ended up winning 2nd prize (頭等 tóu děng)! That's great for Mr. Ye, but once the tea has competed and won, the price becomes fixed very high. Luckily for us, these personal "leftovers" come to us heavily discounted. The daily drinker that won 2nd prize, three cheers!
The oxidation and electric roast are higher than what we call "green" oolong, but still slight. A light light roast if you will. Mellow, buttery, woody, with fragrant but light florals.
Water temperature: boiling

*All light oolongs come in vacuum sealed bags for maximum freshness. After opening, we recommend storing the bags in the refrigerator. Use a clip or rubber band and remove as much air as possible when resealing.
