Sheng (Raw) Puer
Xiaguan, one of the major puer factories, has been producing Tuocha (the tightly pressed bowl-shaped cake) since 1902. These 100g cakes are from their "Teji" line of sheng (raw) puer. Teji means premium grade, and it is the highest of Xiaguan's 3 tuocha grades. (Teji > Jiaji > Yiji) It was bought at the time of production and brought to Taiwan for dry storage. Xiaguan tea is known for its bold tastes, which make it a great candidate for aging.
This is a bit punchier than the other semi-aged shengs on our current roster. Mild and sweet if brewed light, but the bitterness is in there if you want to push it. Smokey, herbaceous, camphor, bubblegum.
